PharmD Program
Overview
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Future University in Egypt (FUE) offers an innovative PharmD program designed to prepare graduates for diverse roles within the healthcare sector and pharmaceutical industry. The program integrates pharmaceutical sciences with patient-centered care, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to meet evolving healthcare needs.
The curriculum
Consists of 181 credit hours delivered over five academic years (10 semesters) and incorporates a portfolio-based graduation project supervised by academic staff across various faculty departments. The program emphasizes experiential learning, professional development, and lifelong learning.
Following the academic phase, students complete an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) during a sixth year of study. This consists of six training rotations over 36 weeks, including experiences in hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug control, community pharmacy, and other professional practice settings, ensuring graduates are well prepared for contemporary pharmacy practice.

PharmD–Clinical Pharmacy Program
Overview
The PharmD–Clinical Pharmacy Program at Future University in Egypt (FUE) is a clinically oriented program designed to prepare pharmacists for advanced patient care roles within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The program combines a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences with extensive clinical training, enabling graduates to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
The curriculum
The curriculum comprises 181 credit hours completed over five academic years (10 semesters) and includes a portfolio-based graduation project under the supervision of academic staff. Throughout the program, students develop clinical, communication, problem-solving, and evidence-based practice skills essential for modern healthcare environments.
The sixth year is dedicated to Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE), consisting of six clinical training rotations totaling 36 weeks. Students complete at least four rotations in hospitals implementing clinical pharmacy services, in addition to other specialized practice experiences, providing comprehensive exposure to direct patient care and clinical decision-making.
