We also recognize the vital role our parents and guardians play in this journey. Your involvement is essential to your child’s success. We are dedicated to fostering open partnerships so that, together, we create a supportive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

At AIS Egypt, every voice is heard, every contribution is valued, and every student is supported.
As we begin this new school year, let’s work together to make it our best one yet. Here’s to a year filled with learning, growth, and the shared goal of raising student achievement every day, in every way.

Community

At the American School in Egypt we view participation in extra curricular activities as an important component of communcation and relationship building.

We strive to involve students and parents in a number of events and activities held throughout the school year, including the Annual Family Picnic and Talent Show, Book Fairs and Reading Week. These projects are designed to serve as community building activities and as a means of further communication between students, parents and teachers in a relaxed and supportive location within the campus grounds.

The Annual Family Picnic is much anticipated by staff, students and parents alike and allows participants to relax and enjoy time together while taking part in sporting and creative activities. The Annual Talent Show showcases the diverse talents of our students and much fun is had by all.

At AIS Egypt we also celebrate the annual Egyptian and American holidays and activities are often organised around these events, in particular Halloween, Egypt National Day and Valentines Day. All of these events and activities are viewed as an important and valued component of our school schedule.

Academics

At AISE we strive to offer our students a challenging and diverse American and International college preparatory education. Facilitated by a caring, professional and specialized staff of teachers, we strive to empower our students to become critical, independent thinkers with the skills to participate dynamically and successfully in an ever-changing global society. At AIS Egypt we believe that our school curriculum must include learning experiences that develop the whole child and that all of our students should be active and responsible participants in their own learning.

To ensure high standards of excellence, we have developed curriculums for our Early Childhood Center, Elementary School, Middle School, and High School that offer opportunities for our students to embrace learning and succeed academically. Real life applications of subject knowledge are accomplished through an integrated core curriculum, complemented by electives that include art, music, drama and foreign languages. We apply a major focus to interdisciplinary units of instruction.

Our International Baccalaureate Diploma is a challenging two-year curriculum that covers a wide range of academic subjects and offers our senior students the opportunity to participate in a course of study that provides entrance to the world's leading universities. Students are challenged to be self-educators and to develop a strong sense of their own identity and an ability to communicate with others, both geographically and culturally.

As clear and critical thinkers with a love of learning and the required knowledge and skills, our students are certain to succeed in their future careers as well rounded, honorable and responsible human beings who contribute positively to society.

Primary Curriculum Corner

The guiding principle of our Mission Statement is to provide a personalized, comprehensive and challenging American and international education. Our aim is to develop independent, inquisitive, lifelong learners who contribute positively to a diverse and changing world.

Our curriculum and instruction is aligned to our specific learning standards. At AISE Primary, we integrate the United States Common Core Standards (CCSS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and AERO Social Studies Standards to support a strong academic program

Middle School

The middle school years are a crucial time for young students, marked by significant changes in their physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. As they arrive taller and more mature, it's clear that the primary years are behind them. During this time, they experience a range of normal feelings and behaviors such as conflicts, curiosity, relational upsets, short-term friendships, and a strong desire for peer acceptance. It is a time of exploration, learning, and self-discovery. The lessons learned and the self-concepts formed during these years can shape the rest of their lives. Therefore, it's essential to provide them with guidance and structure from both home and school.

High School Counseling

The Cairo School Counselor Network (CSCN) University Fairs represent the largest counselor-led fair initiative in Africa. It is a result of the collaborative efforts of counselors from top international schools throughout Cairo. Since 2017, this week-long event has brought together over 100 university representatives from the USA, UK, Canada, Europe, Egypt, and Asia. The initiative provides an excellent opportunity for universities to engage with a broad range of students and vice versa.

The event takes place during the Fall semester in October, with university registration occurring in the preceding Spring semester. The event's primary objective is to facilitate interaction between students and university representatives, promoting a mutually beneficial relationship. With their diverse range of participants, the CSCN University Fairs represent an excellent platform for students to explore their academic interests and engage with top-tier universities from around the world.

The CSCN University Fairs initiative is a highly regarded event that has proven its worth since its inception in 2017. The initiative's success can be attributed to the collaborative efforts of counselors and university representatives, making it an event that is highly anticipated each year. Any universities interested in participating in this event should contact cscnfair@aisegypt.com
